1. Who Is a Creator
A Creator is any TripSet user who publishes itineraries to the public marketplace. These Creator Terms supplement the TripSet Terms of Service, which continue to apply in full.
2. Content Ownership and License
- —You retain full ownership of the itineraries you create and publish.
- —By publishing to the TripSet marketplace, you grant TripSet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute your content on the platform and in marketing materials.
- —You may remove published content at any time by unpublishing or deleting your itinerary.
3. Content Standards
- —Itineraries must be based on real travel experiences or genuine planning — no fabricated routes, fake destinations, or invented prices.
- —Photos must be your own or properly licensed. Do not upload stock photos presented as personal travel photos, or images belonging to third parties without explicit rights.
- —You must not include affiliate links, referral links, promo codes, personal URLs, QR codes, or any promotional material in itinerary text, descriptions, notes, or photo captions.
- —Photos must not contain visible QR codes, promotional watermarks, brand logos used for advertising purposes, or text overlays serving a commercial or self-promotional function.
- —Do not upload photos of identifiable individuals without their explicit consent.
- —Do not upload content that is sexual, violent, hateful, or discriminatory in any form.
- —Accurate information matters: misleading prices, dates, addresses, or descriptions may result in immediate content removal.
- —Do not copy or closely reproduce itineraries published by other creators without explicit attribution and their permission.
- —You are responsible for keeping your published itineraries reasonably up to date. If key information (hotel, transport, attraction) is no longer valid, update or unpublish the itinerary promptly.
3a. Paid Itineraries — Creator Responsibility
- —When you charge users for access to an itinerary, you enter into a direct commercial relationship with the buyer. TripSet facilitates the transaction but is not a party to it.
- —Quality standard: paid itineraries must be complete and usable as a travel planning starting point. At minimum, a paid itinerary must include: a defined route with at least one destination per day, accurate place names and addresses, and sufficiently detailed notes for the buyer to independently verify and adapt the plan.
- —Fitness for purpose: you must not misrepresent the scope, quality, or completeness of a paid itinerary in its title, description, or cover image.
- —Buyer complaints: if a buyer contacts TripSet with a complaint about your paid itinerary, we may ask you to fix it. If you do not respond in good faith, we may remove the itinerary from sale. TripSet does not refund completed purchases.
- —Outdated information: you are not liable if third-party details (hotel prices, transport availability) change after purchase, provided the itinerary was accurate at the time of publication. However, if you are aware of significant changes, you must update the itinerary or notify buyers.
- —TripSet may remove from sale paid itineraries that draw a disproportionate number of complaints.
- —Review: we may review a paid itinerary before its first sale and every later change to its days or description. Until a change is approved, buyers see the previously approved version. Fees, payouts, and refunds are covered in sections 6a to 6c of the Terms of Service.
3b. Sponsored and Commercial Content
- —If any part of your itinerary was created in exchange for payment, free services, gifts, or other consideration from a third party (hotel, tour operator, airline, etc.), you must clearly disclose this in the itinerary description.
- —Acceptable disclosure: a note such as "This itinerary includes a stay provided by [Hotel Name]" at the top of the description.
- —Undisclosed sponsored content is a violation of these Creator Terms and may result in content removal and account suspension.
- —Itineraries that function primarily as advertisements for a specific business — rather than as genuine travel plans — are not permitted, regardless of disclosure.
- —Publishing itineraries solely to drive traffic to an external website, social media profile, or business is prohibited.
4. Cloning and Attribution
- —Other users may clone your published itinerary if you have enabled the "Allow cloning" permission.
- —Clones are attributed to the original creator in the UI.
- —You can disable cloning at any time in your itinerary settings.
- —Cloning permissions (transport, hotels, expenses, notes) can be configured per itinerary.
5. DMCA and Copyright
- —If you believe content on TripSet infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to legal@tripset.io.
- —Your notice must include: your contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, a statement of good faith belief, and your signature.
- —We will respond to valid DMCA notices promptly and remove infringing content.
- —Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
6. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate creator accounts that repeatedly violate these Creator Terms, the main Terms of Service, or applicable law. We will notify you by email before taking action, except in cases of severe violations.
7. Changes to Creator Terms
We may update these Creator Terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update, and for material changes we may also notify creators by email. Continued publishing after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
